Here’s what some of our Care Assistants have to say about working for Crossroads Care Gloucestershire:

“I love my job as I have a nice variation of people I visit and a good work/life balance.  As I’m a single parent I found it hard to find a care job that fitted in around my responsibilities to my children.

“They are the only company I have found that will go out of their way to be flexible and give me the hours I need but I get to see my kids enough”

“The support and understanding of staff is truly amazing and nothing is too much trouble and on a final note I feel part of the team and feel valued at Crossroads.  The organisation is the best I’ve worked for”

“Being a single parent and having been out of work for over a year, I found the prospect of getting back into work quite daunting. I have to make the right choices for my little family and I can’t afford to get it wrong. From the get go, all of the staff at Crossroads have been incredibly supportive, understanding, encouraging and uplifting. I genuinely love my job because of the positive difference I get to make to people’s lives as we all do as part of the team at Crossroads. I have a great variation of roles and responsibilities and love that I am still able to pitch in and help when needed with visits or day clubs etc. I hadn’t been working for Crossroads very long when I applied for and received my promotion for Senior Support Worker and it has meant the world to me and to my children, it has made me feel valued and respected as a new member of the team and I am really getting stuck in and enjoying the new role. Everyone has made me feel so welcome, any worries or concerns I have are listened to and dealt with as a matter of urgency and I already feel like a piece of the furniture! I have never before worked for a company that is so dedicated to ensuring I have a high quality work/home balance and will go out of their way to ensure I am happy and satisfied in my role. Staff of all levels at Crossroads come together and support one another, it feels like a family away from home.”
