National Lottery Community Fund

Crossroads Care Gloucestershire celebrates after being awarded £20,000 of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to give unpaid Carers a break from their caring role.

The funding will be used to give more Carers regular breaks from caring for their loved ones at home.  Carers are often left feeling exhausted from caring, taking a break, in whatever form that takes can be a great way to boost their health and wellbeing and recharge their batteries.

Spending time apart could be beneficial for the person you care for too. They may not take to the idea at first but having new social interactions and a change of scenery could also give them a fresh perspective and a lift.

Crossroads Care Gloucestershire can provide a professional Support Worker who will provide care for the person at home while you take a break, knowing that your loved one is in safe hands.

If you would like to know more about how to access the funding please call our office on 01452 302542.
